What is the state of the game's development?
After more than 5 years of work, the core gameplay design has been completed and approved by League of Geeks. All of the art and graphics have been completed, and a prototype has been printed and shared with some of your favourite online creators in the board game sphere.
To make sure you get the best tabletop version of Armello possible, we’re spending just a few more months to really refine the game design, asking questions like, “Should this card cost 4 Gold or 5?” “Can we tweak this rule to make it easier to remember?” We don’t expect major changes to the core gameplay system or mechanics at this stage.
By the middle of the year, the rulebook will be the last thing to go to layout and production will begin!

Are there any gameplay differences from the video game?
As any fan knows, there is a LOT going on in the Armello video game. Lots of random elements, upkeep, and mechanics are handled automatically in ways only a computer can.
The task to adapt the game to run on cardboard and the human brain was no easy feat, but if anyone could meet the challenge it was Rob Heinsoo. Using his 30 years of tabletop design smarts (you may know him from his work designing games like Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition, Dragonfire, and Three-Dragon Ante), Rob has taken the core gameplay elements of Armello that captivated gamers 9 years ago and adapted them to be just as fun and evocative while sitting around a table.
While some of the mechanics you know from the video game have been abridged or altered, the honest truth is that every single playtester with experience of the video game has told us “It still feels like Armello!”

The short answer: we hope so!
If this campaign shows us that there’s a crowd of board gamers who are enchanted by the world of Armello, we would love nothing more than to bring even more cards, mechanics, and Heroes from the video game to the tabletop. (Yes, even Twiss.)

We are currently in talks with several different localization partners to bring Armello in as many languages as possible. However we cannot guarantee this will be resolved before the campaign ends.

Can I order additional copies?
Yes! You can purchase additional copies via the Add-Ons section, or in the pledge manager after the campaign. Please note that purchasing multiple copies will increase your shipping costs accordingly, though there is usually a discount on shipping when purchasing multiple copies. This can be a great option for groups to order all their copies together and save on shipping!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
